Weigh In Wednesday (3)

This meme is strictly a Something vs. Something type of thing. The purpose is for it to be short, interactive, and something fun to do halfway through the week and is being sponsored by Epilogue Review .

This Weeks Topic is Love Triangles vs. Insta-Love

Both are pretty rotten because in the love triangle although it's pretty cool seeing the characters "fight for the prize" it gets old fast and obviously somebody is gonna be left out soon enough. The insta-love sux as well because you don't get to know the characters much separately before they get head over heels with each other. If I totally had to choose one of the two though it would be the love triangle because I feel there is a heap more action and conflicts going on there.

Leave me a comment below and let me know what you have to say on the subject.

  1. You took the words out of my mouth! You're just better at stating them than I am. lol

  2. It's a toss-up for me because it depends on how the author writes the characterizations. I've read some insta-love stories that were amazing, and the same for the love triangles, one in particular, Dreamveil by Lynn Viehl. But if I had to choose, I would rather have the insta-love. I'm not much for sharing. ;)

  3. I think it's official: love triangles produce less eye roll sprain than insta-love:)

  4. I agree with you, love triangles are better. I just never understood how characters could fall in-love within like two pages. It typically happens in contemporary novels, which is probably why I don't read them too often. Thanks for visiting my post! :)

  5. Yeah, I hate that about love triangles - that there's always one left with nothing (or, in the case of Twilight, reduced to a pedophile in love with a minutes-old baby). But it's still the lesser of two evils.

  6. I totally agree with everything! I absolutely hate it when someone gets left out in love triangles, especially if it's someone I was rooting for. Thanks for reading my WiW.

  7. Love triangle seem to come out (slightly) on top... even though most don't like either! Thanks for weighing in!
