Weigh In Wednesday (2)

This meme is strictly a Something vs. Something type of thing. The purpose is for it to be short, interactive, and something fun to do halfway through the week and is being sponsored by Epilogue Review .

This Weeks Topic is Contemporary Vs. Fantasy

Ha! Another toughie however I do think I can sway myself over more so on the fantasy side. Although according to Best Fantasy Books.com Urban Fantasy which is my favorite is actually a mixture of Contemporary and Fantasy so here again I'm back to riding the fence again! LOL You can read more about their listings of the different types of fantasies HERE I still would consider myself more of a fantasy lover though because I enjoy more than Urban. Urban is just my favorite.

I have found myself reading more in the contemporary field here lately just to keep my horizons broad but usually if given the choice of a contemporary book or a fantasy it's going to be the fantasy!

So there's my choice! (Fantasy) Which do you prefer?

  1. I've been reading a lot more contemporary lately too! I'm really enjoying the genre but fantasy will probably always be more my comfort zone! :)

  6. Thanks for stopping by my blog! Urban fantasy is absolutely amazing, but I think that's because it's just the perfect mix of the two.

  9. I'm a classics lover, and although most classics works are contemporary, there are some fantasy (mostly epic fantasy) too in it. Still, I prefer contemporary if given the choice.. :)

  11. Sorry it's taken me a while to get back to you - at least I'm in time for tomorrow! =D

Haha, I get what you mean! I seem to be rather into UF right now too (though I go through phases) but if I'm faced with a contemp or a fantasy I will almost always pick the fantasy.

  12. Sorry for the late comment... I think if you like both then you should make time to read both. There's nothing like a good balance, this counts for reading too :)

Thanks for commenting in my WiW post!
