And a Young Boy to Save Them All.
Meet Simba, an adolescent boy whose village was invaded by a group of invincible invaders. Bound to serve the invaders until their deaths, the villagers were forced to work their mines in search of precious metals. While the villagers bow to the invaders, Simba doesn’t seem to oblige. With his newfound powers, will Simba be able to fight the Invaders? Or will the invaders prove to be invincible again? What will happen if Simba loses the challenge?
Read between the covers of “Simba the Fireboy” and walk along Simba on his surreal adventure of becoming the Young Warrior.
My Thoughts: I loved tagging along on Simba's story. A smart and happy child that was like a breath of fresh air in his grandma and mother's eyes. I enjoyed seeing and experiencing things thru Simba's eyes. The joy, the pain, the determination to avenge his mother and people and take back what was rightfully theirs. Simba grew alot and took on alot in this short story and I can't wait to see where he goes from here!
Favorite quote from the story was "Why hasn't anyone fought back?" Simba rubbed his chin. Iya sighed. "My child, fear is one thing, courage is another." and I always enjoy reading stories and learning new words and stuff and this story was no different! I didn't know what cowries were and had to pull it up! But hey that's why I like to read is to learn more! Knowledge is power!
