Fighting the Devil brought Cooper and Grace together. But without a little evil to spice things up, the everyday life of a normal teenager is pretty dull. A summer job crewing on a billionaire’s yacht in sunny Italy might be just the ticket to rekindle passion. While the setting is perfect, the winding, sinister back streets of Naples are also the perfect playground for a scorned Lucifer to wreak havoc. And if evil doesn’t rip them apart, the sultry billionaire’s daughter and the sexy First Officer might be what it takes to finally destroy Cooper and Grace’s love forever.

Review - Twisted by Gena Showalter

Twisted (Intertwined, #3)Twisted by Gena Showalter

My rating: 2 of 5 stars

Synopsis: His vampire girlfriend might have brought him back to life, but he's never felt more out of control. There's a darkness within him, something taking over; changing him. Worse, because he was meant to die, death now stalks him at every turn. Any day could be his last.
Once upon a time, the three souls trapped inside his head could have helped him. He could have protected himself. But as the darkness grows stronger, the souls grow weaker - just like his girlfriend. The more vampire Aden becomes, the more human Victoria becomes, until everything they know and love is threatened.

Life couldn't get any worse. Could it?

Review: It took me FOREVER to muddle thru this book! I gave it two stars but in all honesty I really didn't like it at all! I felt like I had stepped into the twilight zone! I LOVED book one and book two was meh okay but this one was just horrid! The same characters I had grown to love and enjoy are now either boring or I dislike them. It's like a totally different story?

Then I got so confused with all the voices. It got to the point I didn't even know who was speaking and I loathe this Aden. He is mean and just pure hateful and it doesn't fit well with the loving character I met in Book 1 at all and Victoria who I enjoyed being tough has turned into a fraidy cat more or less?

At this point I don't know if I even want to continue this series.

Review - This Pen for Hire by Laura Levine

This Pen For Hire (A Jaine Austen Mystery, #1)This Pen For Hire by Laura Levine

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Synopsis: In the first novel in her wickedly witty new mystery series, Laura Levine introduces Jaine Austen, a hip, jack-of-all trades writer who spends her days penning smarmy personal ads and daring declarations of passion--and her nights looking for Mr. Right in Hollywood's swinging singles scene.

Review: I have to be totally honest first of all and say I picked this book up pretty much based on the cover. I'm sorry... I know we're not supposed to judge a book by it's cover but come on who wants to read an ugly book and this one was just so doggone cute!

And wow I really ended up liking it! I flew thru it in just a coupla hours it was so entertaining! It kinda has a Stephanie Plum flair to it but then not so much. Stephanie is funny but more toughish whereas Jaine is funny and brainyish?

Jaine kept me smiling with all her made up jobs while working to try to help a client of hers out of a murder mess. I loved when she would converse with her cat "Prozac" and oh my gosh I would have been done went off on her nosy and annoying neighbor! I'm just not gonna go there...you'll just have to pick this up and read how annoying the poor man is.
